Taffy
Taffy was an American 1980s Hi-NRG and Italo disco singer, known for her hit, "I Love My Radio". The song, produced by Claudio Cecchetto, who was also behind all her previous hits in Italy, was released in the United Kingdom by Rhythm King's Transglobal Records and was originally a hit in Italy in 1985. The song's sentiments were about a disc jockey broadcasting in the early hours. However as very few radio stations in the United Kingdom broadcasted after midnight in the late 1980s, this reference in the record was changed. A re-recorded version called "I Love My Radio" was released instead. This is the version that reached #6 in the UK Singles Chart.
Taffy
Taffy is a song written and sung by Lisa Loeb. The song was recorded in 1995. It is featured on her album Tails, and her 2006 greatest hits album, The Very Best of Lisa Loeb. It is about a boyfriend who always lies: the expression is saying that he likes to stretch the truth, which is basically lying. Although the song was not a very successful single, it was moderately successful on radio. It peaked at #6 on U. S Billboard Bubbling Under The Hot 100 in early 1996, and the single's video was popular on VH1 and MTV. The song charted in the New Zealand RIANZ Top 40 at #39, and peaked at #96 on the Australian singles chart.
