Inspiration is the ninth studio album by guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen, released on October 14, 1996 through Pony Canyon; November 5, 1996 through Music for Nations; and reissued in 2000 through Spitfire Records; a remastered edition was reissued in 2003 through SPV GmbH. It is a tribute album consisting entirely of covers of various bands who influenced Malmsteen.
