Silverware
Silverware is a trophy awarded to winning players or teams. In English football, silverware is any of the cup trophies or the championship trophies awarded for winning one of the leagues. Silverware symbolises the measure of success in a season for major clubs, where many fans expect their team to win some silverware annually. In 2004 the Spanish La Liga club Real Madrid sacked their coach Carlos Queiroz after a no silverware season.
