Biweekly
Biweekly may refer to an event that occurs once every two weeks, or twice weekly. There are fifty-two full weeks in a year of twelve months, making for a possible 26 or 104 biweekly events in a year. This is a greater number than if such events were held twice a month, because most months have more than four weeks.
Biweekly
Biweekly means twice a week or every other week. This causes ambiguity when the term is used. As a result, in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, the term biweekly is commonly restricted to one meaning, twice a week, and fortnightly is used when referring to something that occurs once every two weeks. In the US, a biweekly publication is issued every two weeks and a bimonthly publication is issued every two months.
