Ecstasy
Ecstasy is the second mini album by the alternative rock band My Bloody Valentine, released in November 1987 on Lazy Records. Released in a limited edition of 3,000 copies, it was the band's final release for Lazy Records. Ecstasy followed the "bubblegum pop with buzzsaw guitars" formula of My Bloody Valentine's earlier releases for the label and diverged further from their earlier post-punk sound. Upon its release, Ecstasy received moderate critical acclaim. Melody Maker referred to the album as "a series of aloof, pastel washes of sound, suspended guitars, words from the back of beyond tying in to a large, shifting whole" and "larger than the sum of its parts." Ecstasy entered the UK Indie Chart in December 1987 and spent four weeks in total on the chart, peaking at number 12. The album was later reissued alongside My Bloody Valentine's EP Strawberry Wine on the compilation album Ecstasy and Wine.
Ecstasy
Ecstasy is a song recorded by German electronic dance music DJ ATB, for his fifth studio album No Silence (2004). The track was released as the second single of the album on 5 July 2004, in Germany, and on 5 October 2004 in the US. The song is characterized by its upbeat tone, crisp layering, and memorable intro. Vocals were provided by Tiff Lacey, who is also featured in the song "Marrakech". Ecstasy is among ATB's best known songs. It samples Jocelyn Enriquez's song "A Little Bit of Ecstasy".
